Rihoy & Son proudly constructed the new Cobo Community Centre to replace the old St Matthew's Church Hall.

The building had to be versatile in order to accommodate a wide variety of activities, and disability access was a crucial element of the project.

Two years after the project's completion, we caught up with Chairman Colin Guilbert to learn about the impact of the new building.

We were delighted to discover that it is being utilised by several different clubs and groups on a regular basis, from preschools to social events for the elderly. The facility is used for fitness and yoga classes, birthday parties and much more.

Colin explained; “The old hall had really nothing going for it. The roof leaked, the electrics were shot and the iron windows wouldn’t shut; it was just a catastrophe!”

“As each year passed, there were fewer things we could do with it due to health and safety regulations.”

“We have gone from almost nothing to having everything. I can honestly say that in the two years that we have been operating, I have not received one complaint about this building.”

“We could not have had a better partnership with another contractor. Rihoy & Son went the extra mile for us, and built the Community Centre on time and under budget, so we can’t speak highly enough of them.”

We are extremely proud to have contributed to the success of the Community Centre, and wish Colin and his team the very best for the future.
